Wall lights

Wall lights give light where a ceiling chandelier does not reach: by the bed, by the mirror in the hallway or above the sofa. Our catalogue has more than 40 VARGO wall lights — 17 with a built-in LED and the rest with a GX53, GU10, E27 or E14 base.

LED wall lights

LED models do not need bulbs. Their power is 10–26 W and their luminous flux 900–2340 lm. Of the LED models, 15 have three light tones from 3000 to 6500 K: warm for the evening, neutral, and cool for work or the mirror. The tone is switched with an ordinary wall switch; exactly how is written in the product description. None of the models has a remote. See also: colour temperature.

Lights with bulbs

The most common base is GX53 — a flat bulb of up to 15 W, which lets the light be thin. There are also models with GU10 (up to 9 W), E27 (up to 60 W) and E14 (up to 40 W). Bulbs are not included — they can be ordered in Bulbs and other products. With a bulb you choose the light tone yourself.

In the bedroom

Two identical lights on either side of the bed let you read without disturbing the other person, and free the bedside tables from table lamps. Warm light suits a bed headboard best. For general light, see bedroom chandeliers, or pendant lights on both sides of the bed.

In the hallway and by the mirror

In a narrow hallway, depth matters: 12 models project no more than 6 cm from the wall, and the LED models 4.5–7.5 cm. By a mirror, put the light at the sides or above it, so that the light falls on your face. Hallway ceiling lights are another option for a hallway.

In the living room

Above a sofa or by an armchair, a wall light gives calm evening light when the chandelier is not needed. If you want the room to look unified, choose a light in the same colour as the living room chandelier.

Dimensions, colours and materials

Width is from 6 to 55 cm, height from 8 to 39 cm, depth from 4.5 to 25.5 cm. White lights are the most common, including white with wood or chrome, black with wood or chrome, and black with clear glass. The body is metal, often with an acrylic diffuser or a glass shade. Almost all have an IP20 protection rating — they are meant for dry rooms.

Frequently asked questions

LED or with a bulb?

An LED model is thinner, and you do not need to buy bulbs for it. A model with a base can take a bulb of any power and tone, within the permitted power.

Are bulbs included?

No. For models with a GX53, GU10, E27 or E14 base, bulbs must be bought separately; for LED models the light source is built in.

Is it suitable for a bathroom?

No, almost all of them are IP20 — they are meant for dry rooms: a bedroom, hallway or living room.

How do I change the light tone?

On models with three tones, the tone is usually switched with the wall switch; exact instructions are in the product description. These lights have no remote.
